Community Guidelines
-Hate speech will result in an instant ban. This includes every flavor of bigotry: racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, religious discrimination, as well as any other form of abusive language and/or threats directed at other players. This includes slurs used in chat, even if not directed at other players.
-Toxic behavior will not be tolerated. This includes habitual bickering, complaining, insults, and any other disruptive behavior that prevents other community members from enjoying their experience on these servers.
In-Game Guidelines
-Don't Litter
Sleeping bags, beds on single foundations, taming pens and pillars/foundations used to reserve base locations will be demolished when found laying around. Pack in, pack out -- please help keep our shared space clean!
-Be Respectful
Do not intentionally pick up players or their dinos without permission. Do not take items from players without their permission or intentionally damage their characters, bases, or tames (ex. drowning bodies in water to loot them or leading a wild dino into a base to break structures). This is a PvE server - any griefing will result in an instant ban.
-Care for your Critters
Tamed creatures must be kept near their tribe’s base. If you find another tribe’s tame in the wild, please screenshot with coordinates and map name and submit to the #lost-and-found channel in the Dodo Empire Discord. Owners have at least 7 days to pick it up or make arrangements before it is considered a surrendered pet and finds itself in the shelter and up for adoption! Setting tames to wander in the wild is also prohibited.
Base Building Guidelines
-Size/Spacing
Your base must be fully rendered at medium render distance when standing at the center. If you can see another tribe’s base at medium render distance, you are building too close and should obtain permission from that tribe.
-Placement
Do not block the following locations: important resource spawns (rich resource nodes, charge nodes, explorer notes, etc.), artifact caves, obelisks, and ALL spawn points. If your base is built near a pathway or spawn point, an unlocked and publicly accessible way through must be clearly marked. If a player spawns at a spawn point and finds themselves stuck in your base, the surrounding structures will be destroyed to clear the spawn point without notice. When in doubt - reach out!
-Timing
If you must be offline for longer than 30 days and would like to keep your structures and tames, please message Mags with details of your expected absence as soon as possible.
